That’s right! It’s time to find a new way of Living.
When I was in Real Estate, I worked 12 to 16 hours a day, until it ruined my health, and I couldn’t even stand to get up in the morning.
It’s called Depression.
But I had money in the bank, for the little good it did me. I had no time or energy to spend it.
I did not really worry about money then, so I spent foolishly on some things.
One of the worst was not investing enough of it. I should have been able to get an income of at least $3000 a month from it, but that takes time and energy.
I was…and still am… a member of an investment service, but it’s one thing to get advice and take it. I know I would be set for life if I had.
So now I have experience…from mistakes, and You can receive the benefits of that experience.
Also, I have somehow been given intuition and inspiration…that’s how I write these blogs.
So I learned what is important in life…and it certainly isn’t working for a living.
And that’s all most people know how to do.
They also only know how to spend about 110% of what they make.
I won’t go into why… too big a subject…and not the point of this missive.
What I am interested in is to think about how we can get out of the rat race.
We have been conditioned to be concerned about a house and car and things, while the important stuff gets left out.
The most important things in your life are food, water, shelter, and something to do that fulfills you. It also must be something that provides the first three. It could be that you have to do something that you would rather not do to get the basic needs of life handled with the goal of Finding Your Dream.
Actually doing what you don’t really love is Finding Your Dream. The process is the Finding.
Because you might not know what you love until you try many different things.
So, the New Way of Living is to get your priorities right.
Number 1 is to secure your food and water. Grow your own food and find a source of water that will be there no matter what. Learn how to filter it and then test it, so it won’t kill you.
Number 2 is housing. Are what are you living in now going to survive, and is it necessary? Could you live in a smaller place so you can afford to grow food and find water? I am sure most people could.
I live in a small place with plenty of room for our needs. Sure maybe it would be nice to have more room, but until I have food and water taken care of, we stay here.
Also, does going to the mall every weekend really fulfill you more than working on your garden? I doubt it…and if you tried it you would find out how much more satisfying it is.
So instead of yearning for the next biggest TV, or new phone, or more junk in your garage so your cars have to be parked outside, think about eating food that you grew.
Also, you will be much more prepared for the next crisis…we really aren’t out of the present one yet, so who knows…
There are so many people that are realizing that what they thought was important wasn’t. Even toilet paper wasn’t that important.
It’s time to look at life differently and truly Find Our Dream!
