A New Paradigm!

Doug Casey, an anarcho-capitalist, says that the State is a “Parasite on Society.”

The members of society are becoming less individually responsible, and, therefore, the country has to be held by force.

That is the basis for government to take more and more control…the lack of self-responsibility!!!

Once people are responsible for themselves, government becomes mostly unnecessary.

The only thing government is good for is to protect You from coercion inside the country’s borders and from other countries…the police and the military…and a court system to adjudicate disputes without resorting to force…which might include arbitration.

The current system is only marginally competent in providing these services, and tries to do almost everything else conceivable!

That is why I keep talking about Loving Yourself. If you Love Yourself, you will become honest with yourself and others. Your main concern is your self-growth…becoming accountable.

It’s the way to Finding Your Dream!

25 Questions You might have about the Bible and Christianity

I’ve always had questions about my Christian faith, but I just accepted what was being taught…until a few years ago.

Then I really began to search for some answers. That lead me to other questions I didn’t even know. They were there, but just under the surface.

Here are some of the questions:

Maybe you have some of the same ones…So let’s get started.

1. The first one was in Genesis where the word “we” was used when God talked about “himself.”

How many Gods were/are there then?

It was always explained as the Trinity was talking, but that does not set well with me. The Trinity means 3 in 1, so why use the plural when it’s really One?

It just leaves an uncomfortable feeling in me.

There are lots of other explanations…and we might get into them, but they come from outside the Bible and Christianity…so let’s leave that one alone for a while.

2.  Why were these Gods so afraid of our potential that they destroyed the Tower of Babel?

They said we could become like them…something to remember.

It just doesn’t seem like a “God” to me.

3. Then we get into all the rules about cleaning your body and house. It only entailed washing and then having the priest inspect it.

So didn’t they have some other kinds of treatments? Like herbs or prayer?

Probably…but could it have been a “priest power” thing?

Just Asking???

They had the power to kick you out of the city and destroy your house if you were unclean!

4. I always wondered about the statement, It was spring, the time Kings went out to war.” Does that mean God wants us to be at war?

Then it says King David stayed at home from war and because of that he got into trouble too. That’s the Bathsheba story. He committed adultery and then tried to cover it up by murdering a man. He lost his son as a result. This is because he didn’t go to war??? Hmmm…

5. This is the one that really gets me questioning. When the Israelites came back from Egypt, they were commanded to “kill every man, woman, and child, every animal and every living thing, so as not to “contaminate” the Jewish bloodline! This has implications throughout history. Who would command that? It doesn’t matter for what reason!

6. Then it says that we should have no other gods before him. What other gods? I thought there was only one. Baal was “defeated” by Elijah at an altar. So Baal was another god? Hmmm…are we talking about gods…or GOD here? Some say that money, food, or drugs can be your god. We are equating bad habits with the Creator of the Universe!!!??? They can supplant the “real” God!!! I don’t get it.

7. Then there is the commandment Thou shalt not murder! But, spring was the time kings went out to war. Isn’t that murder, especially if you were the aggressor? I think there is a contradiction here.

8. How about the stories of the kings? When they followed God they flourished, but when they didn’t God Punished Them. So it’s God sending bad things on us when the king was bad? Just doesn’t sound like a god of Love! Kinda sounds like God made in our image instead of the reverse.

9. What was Job all about?  God and the accuser talked. Who is the accuser, and how does he get to talk to God? He’s a very bad person I hear. Wish I could get to talk to God, as I gotta be better than the accuser. And then God lets him take everything away from Job, even though he was an upright man. Does sound fair.

Ya, I know that happens here on Earth, but does it originate in Heaven? I shudder to even think about that. I know it could be taken as an illustrative story, but it never said that’s what it was. It was told like it really happened. And how long did they talk about why Job was taken down….pages and pages. It’s a major event as far as Bible stories go. But I don’t get it.

10. Did you know there is no mention of the Jews in Egypt, including Moses or Joseph, or about the 3 million people that left, or the parting of the waters, or evidence of 40 years in the desert? There is no mountain in the Sinai, but there could be one in Saudi Arabia. However, the Israelites would have had to walk 45 miles a day to stick to the timeline described. What a feat!!!

11. They had to cross the Gulf of Aqaba…not the Red Sea…to get to the one in Saudi Arabia. There is some unconfirmed evidence of some chariot’s remains in the Gulf, but it is over 1000 meters deep at that point! So it would be a major effort to gather it.

It must have been a great miracle to stop a thousand meters of water over 5 km wide for 3 million Jews to cross.

12. Solomon’s temple has not been discovered, even though Jerusalem is the most excavated and researched area in the world!!! Actually, Israel did not have Any large cities when all this allegedly happened…around 1000 to 1200 BC.  200 to 300 years later there were cities, but no evidence of kings or big empires.

13. Nothing that was said in the Bible about David, Solomon, Abraham, or Moses can be found. They can’t even find evidence of the Jews back then. There is one carving of a king’s name in Northern Israel (Samaria) that also has a one-sentence reference in the Bible. That is hardly evidence. Shouldn’t the greatest empire of the time be written about?

14. Where is the evidence of Solomon’s riches and kingdom?

15. There are no records in Babylon either. There are a lot of records from that time, so if the Israelites were “big”, it should have been recorded somewhere. The closest they can come is Ezra writing the “history” of the Jewish people when they returned from Babylon. The Bible says he was a writer and historian, but where did he get his information from?

I was amazed to hear this…the general consensus is that the Patriarchs didn’t exist. I still find this hard to believe. This is the bedrock of our faith…and it’s a myth…a lie!!!????

Now I am getting angry. For thousands of years, we have been told a “story,” a lie. What is going on?

16. Anyway, let’s move on. What is a wheel within a wheel in Ezekiel, and how did Elijah, and others get caught up into heaven? Pretty strange. I think this is something we should be studying and emulating…

17. In the New Testament Jesus was an entirely different person than what Paul talked about. He never said he was the “Savior of the world.” In fact, he didn’t allow anyone to bow down to him. He referred to himself as the “Son of Man,” and only once did he say he was the “Son of God.” What does “Son of Man” mean? I find no explanation. He did talk about his Father in Heaven, but he never called him God.

18. What did he mean when he said, “I am the way, the truth, and the light? No one comes to the Father but through me?” He’s not here anymore, so how can we go through him? You could take that symbolically, but He said he was going back to the Father, and sending the Holy Spirit, which was going to “reveal” all things! How many Christians have that focus on what Jesus said…I was always told to worship Jesus, something he said not to do!!!

19. Paul said Jesus came to do away with the Law in Romans, but Jesus never said that. He did say that he came to reveal a new law…the law of Love (hence my focus on Knowing that You are Loved, therefore You Can Love Yourself, and Find Your Dream.)

20. Jesus did miracles, taught Love, and told the Jewish religious rulers they were evil. He said we could be healed by our own faith, and couldn’t do miracles when they had no faith.

21. He said strange things like, Is it better to heal on the Sabbath or to forgive sin? I ask, how did he forgive sin? Doesn’t say. I think that’s critical, how did he forgive sin?

To me, it’s central to Christianity???

22. He also said, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.”

What…God doesn’t condemn us? Wow! And we can live perfectly!

Well, he did say, “Be ye perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” We are supposed to be like the Father…perfect!!!???

I think we got it wrong someplace. Paul says we were born in sin, then Jesus saved us from sin, and now we can be perfect.

Jesus said, “Be ye perfect” when he was alive BEFORE he died on the cross, rose from the dead, and saved us!

Something is wrong!!!

22. What is this thing about Communion? Do this in remembrance of me. Drink my blood and eat my flesh? A commemoration, but really kinda gross, isn’t it? And why would we do that? What good does it do, but to remember him maybe as a symbol??? I don’t know, but maybe as an example to be followed??? I have no clue!!!

23. The last thing…for now…I think I will be writing about this more…is the complete lack of difference in Christian character compared to the “world.” There is very little difference between Christian and non-Christian divorce, crime, and many other statistics.

What???

24. I am astounded by the lack of evidence for many of the Old Testament stories and evidence for Jesus actually being a historical figure (Only 1 historian says anything about him. One would think that a man who changed the world would have many corroborating sources outside the Bible.)

25. Also the removal and total suppression of books from the Bible in 300 AD that the leaders did not like. What are we missing?

I wouldn’t mind or question that decision, but with all the other things listed above, I have grave concerns!

I have lived my life as a Christian, and now it is upended, in doubt, and basically in turmoil.

So what does one do now? I have been researching and studying for more than 5 years. It’s called going “down the rabbit hole!”  It’s led to many strange and wonderful places…and I will be writing about them in future blogs!

Stay tuned!

Neither Do I Condemn You…Go and Sin No More!

I have read this Scripture many times and others like it. Jesus said many times, “Go and Sin No More!”

But let us start with some background for those of you who haven’t read the Bible 30-plus times…like me.

Not only that…but I have “studied” it…like thought about it…asking what does this mean?

Well, I got some intuition about it.

The part I am talking about was when a woman was caught in adultery, and the religious leaders were about to stone her…like kill her by throwing stones at her.

As the Law said!

What a way to die…and whoever devised that punishment is…what…insane!

But anyway, the religious leaders asked Jesus what they should do.

He bent down, started writing in the dirt, and said,

“Let him who is without sin, Throw the First Stone!

He continued writing in the dirt…I wonder what he was writing?

Maybe all their sins….who knows…doesn’t say…but…

One by one they leave, because they feel guilty.

Finally there are only Jesus and the “guilty” women.

He says to her “Who is left to condemn you?

She says, “NO one!”

He then says, “Neither do I…

Go and Sin NO More!”

What does this all mean?

First of all, we condemn ourselves…

Second, God does not condemn us…

So in his Eyes, we are Not Guilty!!!

Think about that..WE are Not Guilty!

Love Yourself!

Third, we are supposed to “Go and Sin No More!!!”

That means we can live a “Sinless Life!!!”

Wow…how does that work?

I think it has to do with the Big Picture.

It’s like it all works out…and we should live as if IT does work out…

Then we really don’t live under condemnation and guilt.

That’s the part that matters.

It goes back to the “Love Yourself then Love Your Neighbor” post I wrote a while back…

So if you want to change your perspective on guilt and fear, and learn How To Love Yourself on Your Journey to Finding Your Dream…

How Grieving helps to reevaluate life…which moved me into the Metaphysical.

All these thoughts on grieving have helped me to reevaluate my life. It has given me a Purpose…to pass on my family traditions and values. It has also brought me to think about the metaphysical and “God.”

I specifically have been thinking about how existence could have begun.

I really like the theory that in the beginning there was just “One.” There was no time or space because everything was One…like all together…at the same time.

Then that One wanted to realize itself, so it created “Two,” which created the Universe…and here we are. Simple right…well getting to Two was, but after that…will take more analysis.

It is said that if you try to solve a Rubik’s Cube randomly, it will take billions of years, but if you have only one feedback after every try…whether it was right or wrong…a 1 or a 0…it will only take hours.

So that is how the Universe went from Two to today. There was feedback…meaning every action had a reaction…and someone kept track. We can call that Source or God…what it has been traditionally called.

Some call the One nothing…like zero…i.e. atheists and some scientists, but that does not make sense logically, or mathematically, or have any meaning in physics…at least to me.

Maybe some scientist can explain it, but it would have to make a lot of sense, and not be too complicated. Mathematics…the language of science…has problems with zero. It can’t be manipulated. So to start with zero creates a problem. Zero multiplied or divided by anything is undefined. So to divide nothing into something…like 2/0 doesn’t make sense.

So I think we have decided that it has to be One. That’s what all the religions and mystery schools have told us too. Also, that is a confluence between Science and Faith.

To know oneself is a basic teaching of metaphysics. It’s also called self-awareness…I call it the God Quality in each of us. We can think about ourselves…referring to the past and the future. We understand there is something bigger than us. We can judge our actions by the result they created. That is the same way God operates…always seeing the result…in an ultimate way.

Now I have a question about the feedback on the result of each move of the Rubik’s Cube. I said that each move will have a 1 or 0 feedback…right or wrong. Well, who knows what is right or wrong, unless you know the outcome… the completed Rubik’s Cube. So one must have solved it at least once to know if each move is moving toward the goal.

Hmmm. Then I thought about God. How does He know what is right or wrong unless He has been through all of the Existence already? So he started as One…became self-aware by becoming Two…and then what?

It says in the Bible, that He knows the end from the beginning. That must be why He is God. That is way over my head!

To know right and wrong…ultimately…means you know the outcome. Wow! That is True Self-Awareness!

So how does this work for Us? In the same way, we must realize…visualize… an outcome, and then we can judge our performance against reaching that Goal. That is what is called How to Find Our Dream!

First, we must access that God Part of us that knows our Outcome…our Dream…and then start taking steps to create it.

Ahhh…another thing…create it. What does that mean?

It is the result of self-awareness and free will. They change our decisions and actions based on feedback and our Dream! And that creates a new reality!

So what is Reality anyway? It follows that it is the sum total of our results. As is said, change our actions, which create results, which changes how we perceive and interact with the feedback. That’s why a positive outlook is the best way to view the results because it allows for seeing the possibilities in Finding Our Dream.

And it always starts with the first thing we do. It’s called the Next Right Thing. We really don’t know if it’s right until we do it, and the feedback gives us the answer.

So if the result took us away from our Dream…some would call it failure…we know we must make a change. It doesn’t mean we abandon our Dream. We change how we react, or our strategy, and do the Next Right Thing. It might be doing the same thing, with modifications, over and over, until we are shown another Next Thing.

So failure, or the “wrong” result, isn’t really a big thing. It’s just showing us how and where we need to change.

That should help overcome fear…what other people say…and procrastination.

Just as in solving the Rubik’s cube, the awareness of ourselves creates a path that we can follow through feedback.

Feedback from other people is crucial, as we can sometimes get too caught up in our own reality, and then cannot see the “obvious.”

That’s where I come in. Using my tips, techniques, strategies, and intuition developed over 40 years of business, coaching, and consulting, I can help you find Your Next Right Thing and show you How to Find Your Dream.

Review of My Life…2011

2011

The blog was called “God Things” back then, so I wrote a lot about God from a Christian perspective.

The first post was about being recompensed. That all evil must be paid for…and we all know it because we beat ourselves up for our own evil. We create our own hell, thru our own guilt and shame. Then there is God who saves us from it, which is the most important thing.

Side note: the concept of an ultimate evil or hell is hard to reconcile with the Christian idea of “God.” God is all-knowing, everywhere, everything, and all-powerful. So where is there a place for “no God,” or hell, an interesting puzzle? The idea that God is Ultimate is, by definition, the only Ultimate there is…there can’t be 2 of them…heaven and hell. Otherwise, there are 2 Ultimates, and that’s a problem. Anyway, we will get into that later. See, I graduated.

Then I wrote about trying to educate a “fool,” who doesn’t listen. I wonder how many times I haven’t listened…and that makes me a fool! How about you? Let’s get real here!

Next, I wrote about a missionary having a crisis of faith in the face of the devastation in Haiti. He had a frank conversation with God, and how he needed to keep his faith. I then questioned how our faith is. Do we blame Him when times are bad…or run to Him to save us… and, otherwise, ignore Him. Or do we realize that Faith is rewarded, and, really, there is no other one to turn to… I like that!

Then I talked about how St Paul called the Galatians poor, silly, thoughtless, unreflecting, and senseless. Whoa, pretty heavy… Am I, are you the same… with our 1 hour of church, 5 minutes of devotions, and then…what. I said God has many deeper things for us…actual miracles… to do. I like that too.

Next one was about becoming free of our addiction and constant temptations…that we give in to… and realizing that we are Sons and Daughters of the Most High…and the way to Freedom is having an intimate relationship with Him.

Then I wrote about not having a past…as relating to our sins. God doesn’t remember them, so why should we? We should be the person with “no past.”

The next one was a God Thing. He has a purpose for us. I wondered what that might be for me. I then said that all that needs to happen is to “rest in Him,” and that doesn’t seem like a lot of work. I then prayed the prayer of Peace. I feel better!!

Next was how do we get “There?” What, or where is “there” anyway. We all have an idea. Living a good life might be a good goal…but who has ever done that? Then there is the thing about being on your path. Well, that doesn’t work for psychopaths very well. We are too apt to become deceived…with the best of intentions. Then I said God has the right path and following Him will get us there. Brings up a lot of things that we can get into. Such as: how do we know the right path…and if we are getting it from God…and does any creed of religion know the right path…for us? We’ll talk about that.

Next, was Where is our Place? Where do we Fit In? Doesn’t it say that we are all part of One Body and we all “fit?” So we are part of The Plan, so we can have confidence and be Free, knowing the Creator is perfect and has a perfect place for us. That’s comforting, and also compelling and exciting!! So we all should get to know the Creator…intimately…overcoming the “I’m such a worm” mentality.

The Gospel of Mark…in the Bible…chronicles many miracles. They have caused much controversy, but they are there. The glaring absence of them in the “Church” is disturbing. Wonder what it would take to get a taste of that again. Again, intimacy and receiving love would make a very great impact.

The Review of My Life….You Should Try It!

I got the inspiration to go over the past few years of my life and see how I have changed. So I went to my blog at VinceSalzer.com and started reviewing the posts.

Then I got the idea to write about them…to “feel” how I felt at the time.

I began to write and was guided to divide it up into sections, by date, to show the progression (I call it “graduating.”) of my life. It is a big writing project, so it will be published in parts. I think it can resonate with you…and if it does, let me know.

First, back then I was a pretty staunch Christian…not so much now….staunch that is. I have been “graduating” from how I believe all my life. My beliefs helped me tremendously…got me thru a devastating divorce…but then I needed more…as I saw that a lot of the teachings I was hearing weren’t making a difference in my life and many of the lives that I saw. So I kept searching… But back to how I thought 5 years ago. It wasn’t all bad.

So let’s dig in…

On Christianity…

Not sure what to write in this entry. Have been learning lots about just writing anyway, and things will come. It’s been slamming doors and moving things around. So maybe I should listen….

First of all….who are we? We are an everlasting spirit that never dies. That brings up some things about Christianity that I have questions about. If we are a spirit, but we have one life to live, what happened(s) to us before we were born and after we die? We must have had an existence somehow, somewhere. Christianity doesn’t allow for that unless it’s heaven or hell, but how can we be in either place before we were born? How could we “accept Christ” before we were born? No one ever said anything about that. So where were we…in heaven or hell? Does that make any sense?

Another thing, since we are an immortal spirit, what have we been doing for 14 billion years, as scientists, and many other religions, say….or even 6000 years…as Creationists say. We will live forever but only has less than 100 years of experience. Doesn’t make sense. There is a story in the Bible where Lazarus, in Abraham’s bosom, (What does that mean, and where is it?) is talking to someone suffering in “hell.” So that means there is experience after death, and it’s a lot longer than life here on Earth. Maybe we should spend some time thinking and researching that!

Maybe that’s why some religions say that we reincarnate, or have many lives. Seems to make sense, since we must be doing something. That could also mean that we could be anywhere in the Universe, wouldn’t it? That would be a “life” too. It just isn’t explained very well, and when there are unanswered questions, we begin to wonder and research…and learn.

Another question is that if we don’t accept Christ in this life; we spend the rest of our existence in hell. Wow, that’s a long time!  And what does “accepting Christ” mean? Every denomination has a different definition. Some say you have to be “reborn” and some say you have to be baptized, go through some sort of training, and be made a “Christian.” So what is the answer, and do we decide what it takes, or does Christ?? It says in the Bible that our faith is shown by our works. Well, Christians are not doing so well in that area. They have as many or more divorces, and generally have about the same life, as “non-Christians.” So, even most of the Christians are not even “saved,” as shown by their works, and are not going to heaven. So that leaves at least 90% of all the people that ever lived in hell, or are going to be.

Doesn’t sound good for God, does it?

Looks like the devil is winning. Is that possible? It says not in the Bible…that in the end, God wins. That’s not much of a victory, since they can’t ever leave hell! (as evidenced by the Lazarus story..the man in “hell” could not escape. ..Luke 16:19-31.)

And there’s the unanswered question of what if Christ was never preached to them, how will they know? (Romans 10:14) Someone explained it this way. Everyone has a chance to accept Him, because He will appear to them, and then they have to make a decision. Well, there goes the need for a church and teaching and living a good life, because for some Hindus, Christ will appear to them and they just have to decide one way or the other. My head hurts from that logic…or illogic!!!

So this is why I have been doing much research into what is really “true.” Since we have a long time to live, what is our purpose here on Earth, or wherever else we may be before and after? Since we have God living on the inside of us (The Bible says the Kingdom of God is within us, Luke 17:21.), wouldn’t a better way to think about it is that we are here to learn about realizing more of God in us…and the more we learn, the more God grows within us. God might be “out there,” but what difference does that make since the whole Kingdom is within us? Maybe we should pay more attention to what’s happening inside of us. Maybe should be responsible for our lives, and our “salvation.” Maybe we should be aware of who is trying to control us. Many forces are saying, “My religion is the only way to God,” and they go out and kill all others who don’t “believe.” (All religions have done this.) That’s their definition of Love, because “God is Love.” It’s like they know God better than God does! Some have said, “We create God in our own image,” instead of the other way around!

So Christianity has some holes in it….it can’t answer all the questions, such as….What gets us into “heaven,”  or 90% of the people in hell…come on!!! These questions have to be answerable, or we walk around in doubt, which is the opposite of faith. That does not work in our lives. We live by faith… not doubt our destiny…our “ending.” The questions need to be answered.

To Your Best

Treatise on Control

This is for all of us “Control Freaks.” >)

What does it really mean to be in control? Most people think it’s to satisfy every desire…to not have anyone “telling them what to do.”

But it comes down to “Who do you listen to.” I think we all are controlled by something….our income, our family, our upbringing, and mostly our mind. It’s the way we think that controls us mostly. So are we really in control of anything?

Yes, we are! We created the circumstances we are in. WE did. Not anyone else. Again, taking full responsibility. The good thing about this is that we can create the life we want by TAKING CONTROL OF OUR MIND.  You know that little voice (yeah, right, little) that keeps talking to us all the time. That’s the one we control freaks need to master, and that could occupy us for quite a while.

So instead of trying to control our outer environment, how about controlling the inner one? Stop the chatter, stop going over and over the past, and stop the fantasy of the future.

Start by admitting that you/I have problems that we can’t solve, so we need to be completely honest about them. State them…truthfully, and say I can’t control my guilt, my shame, my anger, and the issues those things bring up….like drinking too much, waiting for the weekend, because we hate our job, or our spouse who is always telling us to do stuff, or exposing our faults. Admit them, and then they will respect you for it….and ask for help from them, from God of the Universe which resides in us.

Once we start being honest, we can begin to deal with the issue as it manifests. As we let each one go….forgive ourselves, everyone involved, and GOD…we can heal. It’s like peeling an onion…never a pleasant job….and it’s layer by layer. The more layers that come off, the more we SEE ourselves, and our power returns. That’s being the best control freak there is!!

Treatise on “Free Will”

Do we really have “Free Will?” Well, sort of, but only if we exercise it…and it’s not free. It takes a lot of effort and exercise.

If we think free will is doing “whatever I want,” we are right, but what do we really want? Do we want the money, the toys, the prestige? Does that bring us happiness? Not really…we want the happiness that true free will creates.  We limit our free will by thinking that the spiff, the bling, is what we want.

Free will comes from control… self-control. Knowing what we want and controlling ourselves to get there, is the ultimate free will. Freedom means free from our controlling mind.  Being in our hearts or our God-self is true freedom. We limit our free will by what we do. There are many forces that are trying to control us, and that is what is taking away our freedom.

The “will” of free will is our attention and intention…what we focus on. That becomes free when we control it. So for all of us control “freaks,” this is something to focus our attention on…our will. To have an iron will means that we control our minds..by quieting it, and looking beneath all the advertisers and the media, (for one thing) that are trying to keep us in fear… and start living in love and compassion.

Compassion comes from  accepting things just as they are. They may not be as we like them, but they are the way they are. We need to accept the present situation. Once we are not tied up in knots about how everything should change, we might be quiet enough to hear….from our hearts….how WE can change to make the situation better.

So just look at things as are, and quiet down and listen…for the solution…or maybe just the next thing that can be done.

Vince

vsalzer@vincesalzer.com

“Mind Control”

So why do I keep repeating myself….God is within us…our healing comes from within…etc??

Well, that is the first thing that one needs to really know, who and where GOD IS, and where healing comes from. Once we get that … and that’s the most challenging, everything else follows. For us to “get it” we need to learn about our minds, and how it works. Then we can learn how to control it and manifest our healing.

So let’s discuss this “mind control” thing.

First of all, our mind created our present situation. This “present” situation is all there is, but our mind is always taking us back into our past or projecting our past into the future. It makes our present reality based on things that happened in the past. It compares things that we are going through to things that happened in the past. It makes a judgment on those things and tells us how they will turn out, which is mostly negative. That way it can remain in control, and the present reality can stay as it is. It doesn’t want change, and it doesn’t want you to “get better,” because then you won’t need it as much. It surely doesn’t want us to realize that there is something else but it.

That something else is our Divine Self…which is our Real Self. Once we know that we don’t need the mind, except for making plans, everyday, mundane decisions, and to keep us breathing. We will never get well until we access our True Selves.

We do that by focusing on ourselves…what we want…what is our “calling.”  I don’t mean selfishly, like what I can get, no matter what happens to other people. It means to ask what is best for me and therefore, all of Creation. That begins to quiet the mind. Have you ever had a new idea, a new inspiration? Did that come from you thinking about it, or did it just appear? That’s our inner selves communicating with us. That’s where healing comes from.

So put the mind back where it should be, in second position. I’m not saying this is an easy task, but, as all Truth, it is very simple. Just begin to think about God. Think about Creation as everything there is. Begin to just watch ourselves think..all the thoughts, fears, guilt, and shame that come bubbling up from our subconscious.  Just watch them, and then let them go. They are not yours. They are “figments” and they want to trap us. Just think of everything is as it should be. That will destroy mind control. Our mind traps us into thinking that it should be different. That this situation is not right..someone did us wrong….it’s their fault. It tells us that we did everything right, so it’s someone else responsibility to fix our lives.

Remember we are totally responsible for where we are, and where we are going.

It’s not someone, it’s us!!!
