Regarding my missives of yesterday, they were an overview of what I have been thinking about lately. Maybe today’s thoughts might be a little less foolish, as I will try to explain and elucidate the ones from yesterday.
I will start from the end of yesterday’s thoughts, and go to the beginning to get a perspective of how I am thinking, and how it can benefit you in Finding Your Dream.
The concept of connectivity is crucial to Finding Your Dream. How can you ever be in touch with yourself, if you don’t realize how you fit in? If you don’t, going to work, or running a business is all you can even conceptualize. You might be saying that you are Finding Your Dream in your present situation, you might be “happy” there, but the world is always creating, and you will soon have an inkling that there is something more. Sooner or later, you begin to realize that you are stuck in the rat race, knowing something is wrong, but have no idea what it is, or how to escape. You will begin to know your potential isn’t being even remotely fulfilled So finding that deep inner spiritual connection…going within.. is the first step. You must get to the point where you are comfortable with yourself and your circumstances…so you know where you are…so you can begin to see that you could even have a Dream. That unfulfilled potential is your Dream, and accessing it is the goal and the process of Finding Your Dream.
So what distracts you from knowing who you are and where you fit in. Thinking about all the social problems in the world, and how “someone” should fix them, is a big one. That’s why I talked about the role of government in our lives. If we can think about ways we can control ourselves… i.e. personal responsibility…less control is needed from the “outside.” Learning that anything outside ourselves is only a perception, and it keeps you from concentrating on what is important to you…YOUR Dream.
Another big distraction is the current political climate. Being all caught up in the current issue is really intoxicating. Someone is going to do something!! And I am going to support them!!! This tends to abdicate self-responsibility, which keep you from focusing on what makes you happy and fulfilled. You might say that your support of one candidate is fulfilling and necessary…it might be…but how much have you thought of yourself while fighting for your candidate? It’s your mind’s way of keeping you safe and secure, which is its job.
So how does talking about the political arena relate to Your Dream? If you spend an inordinate amount of time participating in the irrelevant…in my view…discussions and distortions, you are taken away from focusing on yourself. What do you want…a peaceful life? So if we focus on that…dreams can come forth. Realizing that we are in this together gives you a perspective on how you relate and connect to everyone else, and, therefore, how you can contribute to humanity.
How you are connected? I have been taking some courses, like A Course in Miracles. It teaches you that the things you see and thoughts you think are meaningless. Once that barrier of meaninglessness is broken, real “reality” begins to show itself for what it is….a construct…that we construct. Therefore our Dream can be created.
Another unique and powerful course is Crack Your Egg. In it you learn that your reality is your Egg and you need to Crack it to see your potential…to Find Your Dream. Your Egg is deeply planted; it pervades your reality and distorts your perception. It is a complete course on getting to your core beliefs, and changing them so actually Finding Your Dream becomes not only possible but inevitable!!
From these courses, and others that I will discuss in future missives, and my own research and experience, you can realize that Finding Your Dream is in your grasp!
