Deal with what?
Whatever is bothering you!
Whatever is holding you back?
“They” are called Traumas by many people.
Why?
Because those are the things that keep you from growing, evolving, ascending…
from Finding Your Dream!!!
So what are Traumas?
They are misinterpretations of experiences, or memories. Those wrong judgements have negative emotions attached to them, and raise a flight, fight or freeze reaction in your primitive brain.
That’s what keeps you Stuck!
The judgement of the experience!
Remember, memory is experienced in the present. You bring it back up and that’s where it affects you. If it stayed in the past…on the shelf…it wouldn’t be a problem.
Our mind keeps bringing them though, because we attached an emotion, an importance to them.
It becomes a Trauma whenfear, guilt and shame become attached to it.
This builds a construct, a matrix, which means it can be looked at, evaluated and even discarded for a new interpretation…which forms a new matrix.
I would like to think that we can live “outside the Matrix,” but we can’t. We need have structure to be able to have tables, chairs, beliefs and the possibility of growth.
So we reconstruct those Traumas into beneficial things we learn from and set back on the shelf, with no emotion tied to them.
It would be nice not to have any emotions, but memories are where emotions come from, so one will always have them, but we can greatly reduce their affects.
We can use the technique of saying, “I know that happened”…or rather…”Thank you for bringing that up again. You brought it up for a reason. What can I learn from it?”
Once you get an intuition why it’s there and what can be learned, you can set it back on the shelf.
You can’t eliminate of memories, so they can only be put back in the database. You do that and lower their importance. If they come up again, it means you can learn more from them. Then they go back and sit there. You just keep doing that over and over.
The process is letting the memories come up, thanking them, learning from them and categorizing their importance.
Most of them happened long ago, and really have nothing to do with the way you are today?
I have a very charged memory of spraining my ankle when I was a teenager. It surprised me and hurt so bad. I was running with wet shoes on a guy floor. It was my first experience with intense pain, so a quick and negative emotion was attached to it. I still shudder to this day when it comes back up. I need to see what I can still learn from it. One thing is to be able to deal with surprising and painful experiences, and knowing I will make a judgement about life because of it. I have been living in fear of having new and potentially negative experiences. They could just as easily been positive too, but I judge…construct…my perspective based on that first experience! (I am discovering some of this just by writing about it…a reason to write your thoughts down. They become “concrete” and it’s harder for the memory to assert influence over you, because you have dealt with it.)
The lesson is: “Don’t Do That.” LOL! (The answer for everything!) Also be aware of your environment. Learn the beneficial way to react with it. Also, that it happened so long ago that it has nothing to do with my present experience, but it surely does affect it.
But it still brings up a shuddering reaction, and I must deal with it on a consistent basis. Maybe just writing this will release it more so that I can look at it every time it comes up, learn from it and consciously release it.
When you truly learn everything you need to know about it, and, then commit to acting differently…being in a different state…taking a different perspective…the Trauma resides.
This must be a big subject since I already wrote 700 words about it.
These emotions…perspectives…developed matrix’s…can be deep seated…like a death or divorce…and can be hard to deal with. Just letting the experience resurface can elicit so much trauma that we can’t do it.
It then just stays beneath the surface…sometimes deeply buried…that we don’t even recognize they are there. Those are the ones affect us the most, but we work on the ones we can.
Once we learn how to deal with Traumas that are at the surface, the deeper ones will be able to come up.
We have to deal with them from the Matrix of I Am Loved, (Nothing can separate me from the Love of God! My parents Love me just like I Love my children…unconditionally!)
And because of that…I can Love Myself. Also, I am a created, eternal spirit by that God that Loves Me…ultimately and unconditionally!
That I am worth it…worthy…deserving…powerful, and able to Deal With It!
So we start from the Point of Love and deal with what comes up from That Construct!
Since Nothing can separate me from Love, I can deal with Pain, Fear…Trauma…anything.
I form my New Reality.
I call it Finding My Dream!
